Nobel Symposium NS172 - Attosecond Science and Technology
We are organizing a Nobel symposium in Sweden August 20-24, 2023, together with the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences. The title of the symposium is “Attosecond Science and Technology.
The symposium will take place at: https://hotelskansen.se/ which is conveniently located a train ride from Copenhagen airport (we have made reservations for all of you). It is convinient to go to Båstad by train from Copenhagen airport: https://hotelskansen.se/en/train-vacation-take-train-hotel-skansen/ some more information can be found here.
The series of Nobel symposia are devoted to areas of science where breakthroughs are occurring or deal with topics of primary cultural or social significance. A number of observers from the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences will also participate in the symposium. A little bit more information can be found on https://www.nobelprize.org/about/nobel-symposia/
It is a rather small symposium with 55 participants and participation is by invitation only and the program can be found here.
The international organizing committee will introduce one session each:
Louis DiMauro - Attosecond sources
Margaret Murnane - Attosecond in condensed matter
Pascal Salières - Attosecond physics and spectroscopy
Maciej Lewenstein - Attosecond quantum science / small quantum systems
Fernando Martín - Attosecond chemistry
Ursula Keller - Attosecond applications and outlook
